文化园 (Wen Hua Yuan - Culture Park) is in the centre of Dali old town. Local people play cards, Chinese chess and 麻将 (ma jiang / mah jong). There are also lots of people painting. It’s on the site of an old Confucian temple but now has a library and and old folks home.
To Hong Kong Stupid government,
Here is a good example of reviving a historical site without turning it into a rich-only hotel/club/pub and promoting culture in the same time. Would appreciate if the government stop selling allowing rich dude destroying our heritage.

Why we like to scold at our gov
After watching The Crucible/Dogani, I understand that there are bound to be bad people in every corner of the world. However,the success of the movie in pushing the court to re-examine the case and the gov improve the law on child abuse and sexual molest makes me feel the power of people. Yes, bad things are doom to happen but if we can talk,if we can strike, than we are not hopeless like a goat. I hope one day, there is a movie like Dogani made and broadcast inside China.
